About brightside balloons
Our Story
We started Brightside Balloons in 2022. Our Greeting Cards, Gifts, Balloons and Party Supplies shop, Maddy Moos opened in 2011 so you may already know us!
Kev and Karen have built a successful business and wonderful customer relationships over the years. It’s an incredible achievement to have a small independent shop still open after some of the hardest years for business. Of course, our customers are to thank. The support we receive means everything!
Heartbreakingly, Kevin passed away in March 2017. Before his passing he asked me (his daughter) to take over alongside Karen, so that the family business could continue. After a couple of years we knew we wanted to grow Maddy Moos and continue Kev’s legacy, but we weren’t sure what direction to go in. We had always created standard balloon displays in our shop, but after being asked to create a balloon arch (our first back in 2021) we realised what a joy it was to really get involved in creating bigger displays for events and special occasions. So we started Brightside and here we are!

We‘ve joined academies throughout the events industry to learn and train so we can better our skills. We are now a part of ALIL (A lesson in luxury) to level up our skills and create balloon displays like you’ve never seen before!
